James “Jimmy” Floyd, 78, of Rolling Meadows, IL, was born on September 10, 1947, to the late Columbus and Margaret Gray (nee Henderson) Floyd, and sadly passed away on August 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
James was the beloved brother to Catherine (Paul) Yasilli, Robert (Pyong) Floyd, and Stephan (Tavia) Floyd; and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his sisters Marcheta (Robert) Hagen and Christine (John) Lyons.
Jimmy was born in Akron, Ohio and was the 5th of 6 children. When he was born Jimmy had some physical disabilities, but he worked hard to overcome them. He proudly worked as a United States Postal worker for 20 years.
He was a beloved friend and brother who enjoyed playing chess and card games in his free time. Above all else, he loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed.

A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004. The funeral mass will follow starting at 10:00 am at St. Edna. Immediately following the mass inurnment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 2501 E. Euclid Ave. Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
