James F. French

James F. French was born July 29, 1940 in Evergreen Park to James and Martha (nee Komendant) French. He died January 14, 2024 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.

Jim was a bit of a perfectionist as evidenced by bowling a 300-game. He also enjoyed golfing, reading, fishing, sudoku, and traveling. Although his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, whom he adored.

Jim is survived by his sons Jim (Laura) French and David (Leah Bryant) French; his grandchildren Bradley and Rachel French and by his sister Theresa (late Len) Sowinski.

James is preceded in death by his wife Frances (“Franny” to Jim) C. (nee Rociola) French; his grandson Ryan and by his parents.

Visitation Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 3:00 - 8:00 pm at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights and Friday from 9:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 am, at St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Interment at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
