James Robert Kuhr

James Robert Kuhr, 82, was born on July 3, 1941, in Chicago, IL to Bernard and Clara (nee Wojtowicz) Kuhr. He died Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Alexian Brothers Hospice Residence, in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

Mr. Kuhr served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. He was a 35 year employee of Combined Insurance and was a Vice President and Manager of the Claims Department at the time of his retirement.

James loved the Chicago Cubs and to play golf, but that could not compare to the love and pride he had for his grandchildren.

James is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marie (nee Frosolone) Kuhr; his son, James (Beth) Kuhr, his daughter, Melissa (Tony) Fasuna; and his grandchildren, Anna and Matthew Fasuna, Adam, Ethan, and Grace Kuhr.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004, and on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, from 9:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment following at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL.
