James R. MannOf Mundelein, formerly of Long Grove and Arlington Heights.James R. Mann was born on May 6, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois to Lawrence and Ethel (nee Timmins) Mann. He died Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.Jim was the Vice President of Safety and Operations for Chicago Northwestern Railroad until his retirement. "He was an avid bowler, golfer. fisherman, card and bocci ball player, as well as a U.S. Army Veteran." He enjoyed spending time with his family and 8 grandchildren.James is survived by his spouse of 52 years, Mary (nee Morgridge); his children, Kathleen (Mark) McCleary, James (Elyce) Mann, Michael Mann, and Tricia (John) Jarecki; his grandchildren Brennan McCleary, Bryson McCleary, Kiara Jarecki, Ashley Jarecki, Kyle Jarecki, Kaylin Mann, Ryan Mann, and Carly Mann.He was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence Mann, Jr.and his parents.Visitation from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights, where a funeral service will be held at 8:00 pm."
