I was thinking of Jim today and googled his name. Wow. I worked with Jim at JT&O. Rest in peace Jim.

Chris, I am so sad to hear of Jim's passing.  It was only in receiving the Rec Park neighborhood directory that I thought to check.  I am so sorry for your and the girls' loss. On behalf of the Cardiac rehab members at the Wellness Center of Northwest Community Hospital, please accept our deepest condolences on the loss of Jim. Please know he was a great group member, worked diligently, was very supportive of others, and rarely mentioned his own medical issues.  We both shared a history of wearing the infamous life vest with the 3.4 pound battery pack that went everywhere with us, save the shower.  Only once had he mentioned about his chemo that let me know he was fighting more than heart disease. I was hoping to see him back soon, but the staff let me know of his passing.  I am very sorry to have missed his service, I found out too late as I was out of town. On behalf of our group, please accept our deepest sympathies.  He is missed and I trust your family will carry on the spirit of Jim and pull together.

Praying for peace and healing for the ladies in James life.

Dear Chris, Jim's Memorial Mass this morning with Fr. Joji, Matt, Gilbert, Tim and Fr. Bill Hower and Deacon John Lucas was certainly a wonderful celebration of Jim's life. You put so much love in to it. I am sure he was smiling down watching it all with love and pride for you. The church was so crowded with many who love you and the girls. They were sent by God to be there for all of you in His name. Jim's 3 cousins words of remembrance were touching. The songs you chose for Christine to sing and Scott play were just perfect. The songs represented Jim's love of God, Mary, Notre Dame and his family. Fr. Joji's love for Jim and you shined through in his liturgy. When we participate in the Communion rite we are one in The Lord and that means one even with Jim in Heaven, the communion of saints
. We will miss seeing his smiling face at the 10 Mass. We thank him for all that he did for St. James especially sharing his faith with his Quest group. May God always hold you in the Palm of His hand.

Dear Trausch Family, I worked with Jim as a law clerk in training at JT&T lawfirm in the late 1970's. Jim was hilarious and made fun of me for going to Marquette until we beat Notre Dame in basketball on a Hail Mary Pass. It was the first time Jim was speechless. I enjoyed knowing him for the past 35 yrs. He was a great lawyer for my family. As a nurse, I prayed that God would stop his suffering when Jim was ready. He was one of the most valiant, stoic men that I have ever known. He now rests in peace with another great teacher from your school and parish: Karen Masterton,my beloved sister in law. May God Bless you both at the hands of God.

Dear Chris and girls...We've watched you grow up in the St. James community and, though we didn't know Jim well, it has always been evident just from looking at you, that you are a unique and special family. The one thing I admire most about Jim was that no matter how bad he felt he never complained once -  and if anyone needed help from him - he was always there with no questions asked. I am so sorry about Jim.  He was so kind and helpful.  I had the pleasure of working with Jim for almost 35 years and the last couple months were just not the same, not seeing him every day.  I will miss him.

As Jim's mom always notes, I was his first babysitter and informal older sister in Waldwick, NJ. I feel his loss deeply. I saw him about two years ago and we joked about politics--getting him to admit he was wrong was an impossible task. Jim was my next door younger brother. I loved him.
