Janet Christman

Janet Christman, 77, beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother and treasured friend, was called to her eternal resting place on April 3, 2023. She entered this world on May 20,1945 in Bellwood, IL, born to Louis and Lillian Hefter.

Janet graduated from Proviso West High School in Hillside, IL (1963) where she was President of the Girls League. Janet worked in a dental office for 35 years in many capacities. She spent the majority of those years working at the front desk with her bright smile as she greeted the patients.

She had many passions including gardening, reading and vacationing with family and friends. She was a great cook and known for her hot sauce recipe and famous dinner rolls. Her greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren. She enjoyed attending their many events and taking them to the Renaissance Fair.

Survivors include her beloved husband and best friend of 56 years, James "Jim" Christman, whom she married August 6, 1966; loving daughters Susan Christman, Linda (Scott) Scheri and Karen Christman; adored grandchildren Nicholas Janchev, James Scheri, Ayden Janchev and Jessica Scheri; dear sister Joyce Bulvas and caring nieces and nephew.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents.

A Celebration of Life will take place Sunday, April 16, from 11 am - 3 p.m., at The Continental Restaurant & Banquets, 788 S. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove, IL 60089. A light lunch will be served.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Janet's name to the charity of ones choice is appreciated.
