I am so sorry for your loss and your in my thoughts in prayers. I knew Jared in elementary school and I remember riding the bus home with him, and just how compassion and considerate he was. He was always someone I looked forward to seeing and I always appreciated his kindness. I remember one day he had bought a world’s finest chocolate bar and he shared with me, which is something that has always stuck with me.

Jared always made sure I was treated like family and ensured that I felt like one of his sibling. I am so sorry for your loss I saw Jared and an older brother who wanted to be free who wanted to live every moment. I will always cherish the times spent playing basketball and video games. I will always be grateful for everything the Glass family has done for me and the community.

This I Wrote to Zenja Some time ago and Just Wanted to Repost This Today, Auntee and Family Hearts are Heavy this day,,, In Prayer.  To Zenja From Auntee Retha and Your Family far and wide..Jeremiah 1-5 Before I formed you in the belly I knew you, and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet to the nations. We lean on Him in times like these and Always because he's the man with the plan, and he has Our Hold Card, and no one knows it but Him. Today I Celebrate another Milestone, and I am grateful that God has kept me in His Perfect Peace, Through all the Pain and Suffering through all the Hardships, and You Know them (Zenja) Mostly God has bought me through. And I give God the Glory Because I could have been gone Long ago... But Gods Perfect Peace has held me up, and we have to learn to always take it to the Lord In Prayer. My Heart is Heavy for right now But we keep leaning on the Lord and He will see Us through. RIN IN PARADISE JARED.

Auntee Retha... Life is all about the journey and the choices we make. It is about the lessons we choose to learn and the decisions we make that determine how we experience those lessons. The roads we travel whether they are windy with a lot of curves and bends or they are straight and narrow leads each of us to our destination. The only difference is how many rest stops did you make use of along the way and how many times did you stop and ask for directions? When you take the time to stop and ask your soul for directions you won't make as many mistakes and it wouldn't take as long to reach your destination. When you take the time to rest and regroup it gives your body and mind time to catch up with each other. This creates harmony of mind, body and spirit. RIP IN PARADISE NEPHEW.

I met Jared through my roommate Vraj and I’m so thankful I got to get know Jared, even if it was only for a short time. It felt like I had known him for longer. He was so genuine and happy, just overall a great person to be around. I’ll always remember his bright smile and the great times we were able to share. Death isn't the final chapter in our true-life story. Death will Ultimate open many new doors that have never been entered by us before. Jared was one of the kindest and most genuine people I have met. I am truly lucky to have been able to share time with him.

Jared was an amazing person. Though we only got to meet a few times he has left a lasting impact on my life. His accepting, warm, fun, and genuine energy was something that really made him the kind of person everyone loved to be around. When I first met him through our mutual friend/my roommate at the time Vraj, we instantly clicked and had an amazing time. I’ll never forget going to DePaul’s fest with him, enjoying the music and just having so much fun. I’ll always hold that memory dear now. Though Jared is gone he surely won’t be forgotten. I remember how proud Paul and Zenja when Jared was born. Getting family pictures during the Holiday and just downright updates of his growing made me smile. Whenever I visited my family in Wisconsin I would stay for a visit with Paul Zenja and now Jared. They allowed me on one visit to care for him a short bit , while they stepped out for a bit. That boy had lungs, but once he sensed I was there to love him he quieted down and he went fast to sleep with no issues. Paul was so proud of him as he is with all his children. And rightfully so... Jared, our Brother in Christ, finished his race! We were  touched by his life. Fasting and praying for his doctors, his strength, his recovery, and for answers, brought us closer to him. 

He was so smart. We loved his passion for the stock market and remember the times when he would speak to Kelly, asking questions and discussing the markets. Kelly was so impressed with Jared, who was such a bright and kind man. A BRILLIANT SOUL.

I am glad I had a chance to meet you Jared.  Your smile is so infectious.  A single smile of yours can travel around the earth.  You are a special person and a warrior.  You are protected and with HIM now, in the most privileged place.

Jared, you were more like a nephew to me than a cousin.  I am proud of how you fought, researched, and persevered through your illness.  You didn't allow it to hinder you; you just kept on living, reaching for your goals.  I'm so glad that you "lived your life" joyfully in spite of your health challenges.  You accomplished things people without the challenges you faced never did.  I'm going to miss hearing you say in your serious, but laughing, voice "Hey Cousin Lynnie".  Always respectful, always polite, always loving towards me.   Thank you for leaving me with these memories.  Take your rest baby boy; you've finished the race. I keep waking up crying, hoping that it’s a dream, realizing that it’s not and just feeling numb.   Everyone made jokes that Jared was like my son.  He was like a little brother but the moment I met him he was special. He moved in with me when he was 19. I met him through mutual friends, and to make a very long story short. Jared and those mutual friends all came to live with me for a year. I bought his first outfit from Express to land him a interview at my company and paid to get his hair cut. Everyone was mad at me for spending money on this kid I barely knew for two weeks but I saw his potential. He was smart and yet I couldn’t figure out why he was choosing to move in a house with 5 people, but he wanted to prove to his family and mostly himself he was a man. (stupid kid, i begged him to go home every day) He moved in with me with a duffle bag, a play station and tv.  That was it it.  Look as much as Jared was fun, it was a lot. I mean anybody who knows Jaded knows how Jared can be, and he can be so determined about something. So right about everything, and sometimes I had to watch him fail but I knew he would get back up.   When I went through my break up and after Jared had moved back in with parents. He came to visit me.  I was a mess,  We squatted in my old apartment. No furniture, just two pillows , a cover and sat there the whole time listening to me cry, as I’ve done for him so many times before.   He said Sierra you’re going to be fine. I know you’re heart broken but you taught me how to get up.  He didn’t have anything when we moved in with me but he went from sleeping on the floor, to a California King, back in school, a car and had a perfect credit score.  He was my success story because he listened to everything I said to do with investments and didn’t do the things I did. He was so smart even when he made comments that was like “Jared what”.  LOL, we had so many laughs.   Last year he was in the hospital for sickle cell,  he had been sick.  He didn’t  recall I was  at the hospital, that I been there several times but he told me his dad told him or the nurses. How happy it made him but  He came to my apartment, being upset about not knowing everything that transpired that year.  I told him, Jared I was scared. Everyone was scared, and why you hold this anger just know it’s because we love you. Jared and I shared the bond over the fact my God mom passed away from sickle cell,  I was her power of attorney at 18 years old and I had to make a lot of hard decisions.  He said “Sierra I know you’re right, and my family loves me, and you love me, but I have plans. After this surgery I’m going to bulk up, I’m going to travel the world, and Imma be rich”. We just laugh,  we laughed as if I didn’t see him struggle to make it up my steps, as if I didn’t see him in pain. That was Jared though, always being optimistic and being strong will.   November 2019 he helped me paint my apartment, because I could always count on him and when I had to move and couldn’t find anyone in 2020 Jared offered he send me the money to do it because he was to sick.   Jared wanted to live, live a real life without pain and told me he rather take  the chance. The last picture of us is at the Botanic Garden across the street from my apartment. I always tried to take Jared to new places and new things. He was at peace about everything,  and said he never done something like this before. I was so mad because it was like October and he showed up with Nike Slides and Shorts. It was so cold but he didn’t want to go home, he just kept thanking me for taking him somewhere to relax.  I told him this summer, we had big plans. Maybe go hiking, camping, we just knew this summer was going to be the best summer ever.   The whole point of me even getting covid vaccine was so I didn’t get him sick when I visited and now my friend, he’s just gone.   While I’m sad, and angry.  I think about all the conversations we had, and I know he knows that he was loved. I know that he knows we were all proud him. I just don’t think he knows how hard it’s going to be without him.   To my hero, a real friend, the brother I always wanted. You drove me insane, but I do anything to hold you again. I love you Jared Anthony Glass.
