Jean Samp Snyder

Jean Samp Snyder, 84, was born May 6, 1929, in Chicago, to the late Frithjof and the late Ester Lillian (nee Petersen) Hansen, and passed away peacefully on September 29, 2013, surrounded by her loving family, at Emeritus at Prospect Heights. She was the cherished wife of Donald H. Snyder, and the late Joseph Samp; loving mother of Carol (Hal) Marten, Steven (Linda) Samp, and stepmother of Paul (Nancy) Snyder, Tricia Lewis, and Sandy (John) Tibbles; beloved grandmother of Tina (Rob) Coleman, Holly (Anthony) Furman, Timothy Marten, Erika Samp, Jessica Samp, Lindsay Samp, and great grandmother of Trevor, Sage, Eddie, Emily, and Peyton. Jean was employed by AT&T for over 30 years, a member of AT&T Pioneers, and a long time active member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Visitation Thursday, 3-9pm, at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Friends and family will gather Friday, from 10am until the time of funeral services, 11am, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 205 N. Wille St., Mt. Prospect, IL 60056. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery.
