Jeanine G. Janis was born on November 10, 1931 in Chicago to Emil and Adeline (nee Wisniewski) Kuczma. She died Saturday, November 24, 2018 in Alpharetta, GA.

Mrs. Janis’ working career included positions in residential real estate development in the Chicago northwest suburban area. Later she worked as a pricing analyst for Exxon-Mobil Oil in Schaumburg until her retirement in 1989. She was a past member of St. Edna Catholic Church in Arlington Heights before moving to Georgia in 2005. Jeanine was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and she was loved by all.

Jeanine is survived by her children, Aleda (John) Calhoun, Karen (Stephen) Coakley, and Jeanine “Gigi” Janis; grandchildren, Alison (James) Kernan, Timothy Paske, Jr. Kelly (Ryan) Connelly, Elyse Paske, Adam (MaryKate) Schaudenecker, Ian Coakley; great-grandchildren Wyatt and Bode Connelly and Caelon Young; brother, James (Virginia) Kuczma; brother-in-law, Albert Pasternak; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James; her parents; and sister, Denise Pasternak.

Visitation Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Funeral Service 11:00 am, Friday, November 30, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
