Jeannette (nee Engert) Farny Schuh was born January 25, 1940 in Joliet, IL to Wilbur and Emily Engert,and lived in Lockport, IL. She passed away on October 28,2021 after a long bout with cancer.
Jeannette is survived by her husband, Robert, her children Jacqueline Leal and Steven (Cheryl Shoop) Farny; her 5 grandchildren Julia (Matt), Jubilee (Sean), Patrick, Matthew (Jennifer) and Adam, her six great grandchildren Ava, Alex, Emma, Katherine, Owen and Stella, her brother Ken Engert and Many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Ray Farny, who passed away suddenly, leaving her with two young children to raise.
She moved to Joliet and worked for Sheffield Steel until she retired as an HR Manager. She moved to Mt. Prospect and married Robert Schuh on May 26, 2007. She became affectionately known as AJ (Aunt Jeannette) by Bob’s family.
Jeannette dabbled in watercolor painting. Her real passion was traveling annually to Mexico, taking European River Cruises, riding the train through the Canadian Rockies stopping off to visit friend in Oregon. But most of all she loved her two trips to Hawaii, traveling the countryside and seeing the sights by helicopter.
Visitation Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 11:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 1:00 PM. Interment will be private.
