Jerry was born in Elgin on September 3, 1957. He was introduced to Marcella “Marcy” Winters at a wedding and knew almost instantly that she was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. They were married on August 9, 1981 and spent the next 43 years joyfully married to each other.
He enjoyed spending time with the guys on the golf course and could talk to anyone. Jerry loved fast cars, and he loved driving his Mustang GT and his Bullitt. He spent countless hours at car shows and enjoyed getting behind the wheel as often as he could.
Jerry was a devoted husband and father, as well as a grandfather to his beloved “soda cans” (grandkids) whom he would affectionately “shake up and send back home.” He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Marcy (nee Winters) Hanlon, his children, Kristi (Alan) Marsh, Sean (Krystal) Hanlon, and Timothy Hanlon, and his grandchildren, Nathan, Claire, Zachary, Ella, Brooklyn, and Stephanie.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Moseley.
