Jesus S. Vasquez

Of Arlington Heights

Jesus S. Vasquez was born January 24, 1932 in La Cruz, Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico to Aurelio and Narcisa Vasquez. He passed away June 24, 2021 at his home in Arlington Heights.

Jesus was a God fearing man with an extremely strong work ethic, working 3 jobs simultaneously his entire life. He started as a Ranch Hand as a teen while growing up in Mexico. Later he worked as an assembler for the Chicago Blower Corporation, a maintenance worker for Illinois Range, all while operating his janitorial business. In his limited free time, he enjoyed Gardening, watching the Chicago Cubs, fishing, Mexican dancing to the traditional norteña Music. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.

Jesus is survived by his sons Jesse (Leslie) Vasquez, Peter (Barbara) Vasquez and Arthur Vasquez; his 11 grandchildren and by his many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Gloria Reyes Rosas Vasquez; his son Juan (Annette) Vasquez; his daughter Juanita (Alvaro) Cervantes.

Memorial visitation Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 1:00 pm until the time of memorial service at 4:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights.
