Joan was born in Northbrook on April 25, 1937, to parents George Robert and Dorothy Martha (nee Laschinski) Michehl.
Joan is survived by her children, Darrell (Carmen) Koelper, Jody Sagert, Julia (John) Piontek, and Daniel (Elaine) Koelper, her grandchildren, Joshua (Anna) Koelper, Sarah Fries, Michael (Lauren) Fries, Madeline Piontek, Steven Sagert, Brian Koelper, Mary Sagert, and Jack Piontek, her great-grandchildren, her brothers, Donald Michehl, and George (Cherrie) Michehl and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Delbert Koelper, and her grandson, Ben Koelper.
Burial will be private. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1111 N. Elmhurst Road, Prospect Heights, IL.
