Joan K. Waller passed away on October 21, 2023, in Glenview, Illinois. She was born on May 8, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois to Willard and Laura Kellogg.

She is survived by her husband James Waller of 67 years; her children Maxine (Bruce) Barton and Nelson (Susan) Waller; her grandchildren Bruce, James, Katie and Kimberly Barton and Brandon Waller; and her sister Sharon (Robert) Blecha.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Willard (the late Marvous) Kellogg.

She was a teacher and early childhood education entrepreneur for over 30 years establishing Little Explorers preschool in Deerfield, Wheeling, and Lake Forest.

A visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 3:00PM til 8:00PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. Arlington Heights, IL 60004 and on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, from 9:00am until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St. Edna Catholic Church 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd. Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Clinic for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) in Sanibel, FL.
