Joanne R. Allen

Of Arlington Heights  

Joanne R. Allen was born March 27, 1931 in Downers Grove to Arthur and Maude (nee Haller) Ralston.  She died December 19, 2018 at The Moorings in Arlington Heights.    

Joanne is survived by her loving and devoted husband Bill Allen; her children Nancy (Joe) Majkowski, Susan (Kelvin) Kraemer and Jim (Carmen) Allen; her grandchildren Joseph (Stephanie), Michael, Joshua (Erin), Chris (Jenn), Kate, Abigail (Justin), Kyle, John (Elizabeth), Mark (Rebekah), Justin, Matthew and Christopher and by her 8 great grandchildren. 

Joanne graduated magna cum laude from Lake Forest College in 1953, and married Bill the following week.  She was a longtime resident of Arlington Heights where she enjoyed substitute teaching in District 25.  She actively served with her husband, as a dedicated member of Willow Creek Community Church.   Together they wintered many seasons in Venice, FL where Joanne enjoyed countless cups of chocolate ice cream. 

Funeral and interment private.
