

John Arthur Andejeski, 70, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at Journeycare in Barrington, Illinois. John was a longtime resident of Lindenhurst, Illinois, and formerly of Arlington Heights, Illinois.
John was born in Evanston, Illinois, on April 28, 1955, he was the beloved son of the late Ralph E. Andejeski, Sr and Jean (Van Houten) Andejeski; loving brother of Ralph E. Jr, Daniel (Catherine), Julie (Jeffrey) Humphrey, Katherine (John) Burge, Michael (Maribel), Gerard, Gregory (Toshie) and the late Yvonne Andejeski; cherished uncle of Sarah, Nicole (Sam) Engle, John “Jack” (Carly) Humphrey, Jared Humphrey, Matthew (Henry Qian) Burge, Megan Moses, Jason (Meghan), Sean, Michael Jr., Kenneth, Jacob and Aya; great uncle of Elka, Masimo, Lyla, Andrew, Callie, Cade, Harper, Kendall, Barrett, Kieran and Logan. Visitation will be Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 4-7:30 PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. Prayers will be said Friday, January 16 at 9:15 AM at the funeral home and proceed to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights for a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. A graduate of St. Viator High School (Class of 1973) and Elmhurst College (Class of 1978), John was an avid reader and debater. He was a Chicago Cubs and University of Illinois Fighting Illini fan.
John was passionate about his career in real estate, starting as a loan officer at Citicorp, CTX Mortgage and Diamond Mortgage, advancing his career to his true calling as an appraiser of complex real estate properties, through his own company, Lake County Market Driven Appraisals. Through his own real estate investments, John provided homes to many, some of which were tenants for over 20 plus years.
John was known for his integrity, compassion and the simplicity with which he lived his life. Above all, John enjoyed spending time encouraging the spirit and growth of his many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
