John A. Flynn

John A. Flynn passed away on December 27th, 2022 in Arlington Heights, IL. He was born on July 17th, 1943 in San Francisco, CA to Robert and Eleanor Flynn. He met his wife Rosemary when they attended San Francisco State University and have been married for 56 years.

He is survived by his wife Rosemary Flynn, his sons Patrick (Christy) Flynn and Sean (the late Teresa) Flynn, his grandchildren Megan, Connor, Shannon, Grace and Sara Flynn and his daughter-in-law Lori (John) Dyke. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Michael Flynn and grandson Michael Patrick Flynn.

John worked at World Headquarters for United Airlines in Elk Grove Village in numerous management positions for 37 years. He was a devoted scout master, enthusiastic genealogist and world traveler, loved the lake life, an active member of St. James Church in ministries including PADS and volunteered at Viator House of Hospitality and the Arlington Heights Memorial Library.

A memorial visitation will take place on January 22nd, 2023 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. Arlington Heights, IL 60004. A Funeral Mass will take place on January 23rd, 2023 at 11:00am at St. James Parish, 820 N. Arlington Heights Rd. Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment Private.
