John James

The dynamic John James was a great man and an extraordinary father. John was a State Farm Insurance Agent in Palatine for 47 years, and retired just a year ago. It is with the deepest sorrow we announce his passing.

John James (Jamicich) grew up in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago to Margaret and Frank Jamicich. He passed away on March 30th, 2024 and was surrounded by his family in his home in Arlington Heights.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marjorie James, his daughters Jacqueline (James) Colando and Elizabeth (James) Donovan, as well as his five grandchildren who endlessly adored him: Cody, Sienna & Kaia Colando, and Laney & December Donovan.

He was also a loving and devoted friend, brother, and uncle.

Visitation is Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 at Glueckert Funeral Home 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL, 60004 from 11:00am-1:00pm followed by a short ceremony beginning at 1:00pm. The entombment following will be a private ceremony for the family at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
