Mr. Macko was such a fun, caring man who adored his family & his precious dog.  I loved the stories Maryann shared about her father, whom she loved fiercely. His grandchildren adored him and he meant the world to him. Margaux, Holden, Maryann, Jon and Mrs. Macko, as well as the entire Macko family, please accept our deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved John. John was a great friend and was always looking forward to play in the four sum that he was in.  Always enjoy his stories.  He was especially proud of his children and grand children.  God bless you John.  You were in in a million.  May God welcome you and may you have the best tee time in heaven.

John was a great golf  partner and friend . He always saw the bright side of Life . I will miss talking with John on his visit to are business and hearing stories while we waited to Tee Off.  May God Bless Your Family and watch over you and give you peace.

Uncle John was indeed a favorite. Growing up and spending time at the Macko home was and always be very fond and cherrished memories. Uncle John always greeted us with a big smile and warm imbrace. I deeply admired him and he will be very missed. He and my father are now together in that special place in Heaven where men that them go. Definantly the Greatest Generation. God Bless

Uncle John and of course, the Macko Family, was always a joy to be around.  I can recall the early days before they moved to Arlington Heights, the family visits we had with them.  I remember a few times, when we (the Hacker family) lived east of the Chicago area in Sterling, IL when Santa Claus would come to visit us at Christmas.  Besides the presents Santa brought, I so much remember how Santa sounded just like Uncle John.   I never realized till many years later that Santa was Uncle John.  Those were the fun & innocent years.  Of course, many more visits and memorable family get-togethers continued for many years after.  As I became of age, I still remember enjoying Uncle John's Manhattans at his bar in the basement of their Arlington Heights home.  He was always fun to talk to and a joy to be around;  even as I grew older, moved away from the area and visits became less frequent.  Uncle John, you will be dearly missed.
