The visitation for John Thomas “Jack” Lucas, 80, of Arlington Heights since 1972, will be from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral Mass at 12 noon Wednesday, April 11, at St. Edna Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Interment will be in Maryhill Cemetery, Niles. Born March 17, 1932, Chicago, he passed away Friday, April 6, 2012, in North Chicago. Mr. Lucas was a retail executive for Sears for 32 years at Sears Tower in Chicago, and worked for the Village of Palatine for 10 years. He was an Army veteran. He was the husband of Kathy S. (nee Szymanski); father of Dr. Kevin P. (Renee) Lucas, MaryKay (Josh) Reynolds and the late Susan Lucas; grandfather of Abby, Brett, Clare, Nicolette, Bridget and Justin; brother of William Lucas, and the late Mary Margaret Leahy and Thomas Lucas; and uncle to many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Wellness Place, 1619 W. Colonial Place, Palatine, IL 60067, appreciated. Arrangements were made by Lauterburg-Oehler Funeral Home, Arlington Heights.
