Of Buffalo Grove
John E. Turner was born on July 30, 1936 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Ernest and Louise (nee Skvor) Turner. He died Saturday, July 7, 2018 at home in Buffalo Grove, surrounded by his family.
John attended Grinnell College and after completing his service in the Army, attended Coe College in Cedar Rapids, where he graduated in 1966 with a degree in Economics.
John’s interests were photography, astronomy, classical music and nature.
John is survived by his wife of 56 years Lydie (nee Picard) and his daughter, Valerie Turner Kozlov.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
John will be interred at Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell Iowa, with his parents.
