Joseph "Joe" D. Nora

Joseph “Joe” D. Nora, beloved son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully, on March 19, 2026, at the age of 98. Born on February 12, 1928, in Timmins, Canada, Joe was the cherished son of Maria (née Minellono) and Dominic Nora.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his loving wife, of 69 years, Rae Ellen Nora (nee Haag).

Joe is survived by his beloved children, Susan (Len) Armanetti, John (Joan) Nora, Charles (Wendy) Nora, and Vince (Lisa) Nora; cherished grandchildren, David (Sherry) Armanetti, Markie (Mark) Rogers, Madeline Nora, John (Taylor) Nora, Jaclyn Nora, and Kathryn Nora; and dear great-grandchildren, Max Armanetti, Declan Armanetti, Reina Rogers, Avery Rogers, Henry Rogers, and Nina Nora. Joe also leaves behind many dear friends who will miss him greatly.

A memorial visitation for Joe will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. The funeral service will begin at 1:30 PM. Burial will be private at a later date.
