Joseph A. Puglisi

Joseph A. Puglisi, 80, was born April 1, 1944 in Vittoria, Sicily, the son of Michael and Lea (nee Lendon) Puglisi. Joseph married Karen (nee Loew) on September 20, 1980 in Glenview, Illinois. He died Friday, June 21, 2024 at his residence in Hoffman Estates.

Joseph served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a senior analyst at United Airlines for over 50 years and retired in 2020 to become a full-time Nonno to his loving grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons Matthew (Emily) and Daniel (Erica) Puglisi; his grandchildren Marco, Ella, Mia, Katherine, and William Puglisi; his brother Alfio (Lucia) Puglisi; sister Alda (Frank) Houlihan; sister-in-law Rosa (the late Louis) Puglisi; sisters-in-law Deborah (the late John) Puglisi, and Laci Loew; he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Karen; his parents; and his brothers Louis and John Puglisi.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by Prayer Services at 1:00 PM, at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N Arlington Heights Rd. Arlington Heights, Illinois 60004. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 2501 E Euclid Ave. Arlington Heights, Illinois 60004.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Memorial Fund: Joseph A. Puglisi.
