

Josephine was the beloved wife of 77 years to the late Angelo Virgilio; loving mother of Anthony (Debbi), the late Sandra (Fred) Piszkiewicz, Louise (Jack) McCall, Janice (Patrick) Keating, Susan (Peter) Bushey, Angela (Patrick) Burba; very proud and dearest grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 16; A special grandmother and great-grandmother of 10; fond sister-in-law of Vincent (Donna) Virgilio and dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Joseph, Mariano, Marie and Francis; and her parents Santo and Antonia (née Adelphia).
Devoted and strong in her faith, Josephine was an extraordinary example of love and kindness. She was a talented quilter, crocheter, seamstress, crafter and baker, all skills that she was happy to share with anyone who was willing to learn.
Everyone that met her felt her loving touch. Josephine will be deeply missed, but is now with the one and only love of her life.
Rest peacefully in Our Lord’s loving hands, Mom.

A visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 434 W Park St, Arlington Heights, IL 60005, US, on April 10, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Mass starting at 11:00 am. Private Internment All Saints Cemetery, DesPlaines, Illinois.
