Judy was the 1955 Valedictorian of Woodruff High School in Peoria, Illinois. She attended Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago Illinois where she achieved her Nursing degree in 1958. Post-graduation, Judy became one of the first staff nurses at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. Judy continued her career in the late 1970s with Searle Pharmaceuticals and during this time achieved her degree from Northwestern Kellogg School of Management. In 1981 Judy was named the first female Regional Sales Manager for Searle Pharmaceuticals and moved to Dallas, Texas. Judy had much success during her time in Texas and eventually changed her career course again by pioneering the concept of in home nurse staffing which brought her back to Illinois.

She continued her membership with the D.A.R. for the rest of her life. Judy was a very active member and advocate for the WINGS foundation. Judy possessed many talents. She could make an apple pie in record time that was beyond perfection; was a voracious reader and loved nothing more than hosting an upscale dinner party with all of the finery, and of course, everything was homemade. Travel with her husband fulfilled her retirement with always a few great stories to tell upon their return.
