Katherine Tangney Flaherty

Katherine Tangney Flaherty was born on September 14, 1955 in Chicago, to Thomas and Grace (nee Tessmer) Tangney. She died Monday, May 26, 2014 in Buffalo Grove.Mrs. Flaherty was a devoted wife and mother to her husband and children. She enjoyed volunteering at church and school. She loved to create, especially designer cakes, jewelry, and sculptures.Katherine is survived by her spouse of 36 years, John Flaherty; her children, Nora (Phil) Flaherty Vogel, Daniel Patrick Flaherty, Maureen Brigid Flaherty, and Anne Marie Flaherty; her siblings, Loretta Merrill, Patricia Nelson, Thomas Tangney, Mary Alice Nee, Martin Tangney, and Pegi Tangney; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents.Visitation Monday, June 2, 2014 from 3PM until 9PM at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Hts Rd., Arlington Heights. A memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 10AM at St. Mary Parish, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove.
