Kathleen A. O'Kane

Kathleen O’Kane was born on January 20, 1939 to Michael and Anne (nee Friel) Heraty in Derrymore, Drummin, County Mayo Ireland. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 12, 2025 at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

Kathleen was the beloved wife for more than 50 years to the late Frank O’Kane. She is survived by her children, Thomas Colm (Heidi) O’Kane, Ann (Tim) Haefke, Frank Jr. (Ann) O’Kane and Gabe (Kathy) O’Kane; her grandchildren, Erin (Andy) Bannister, Paul (Brooke) O’Kane and Elizabeth (Zach) Ritter, Danny Haefke, Angela (Kyle) Klem and Kelly O’Kane, Kaitlyn (Ryan) Ericson, Megan (Chris) Gore and Molly (Chris) Barth; her siblings Ann (Noel) Duffy and Lucille (James) Grealis; and her great-grandchildren Emma, Evan, Ada, Carson, Alivia, Emily, Imogen, Beckett, Sophia, Alice, Layla, Jack, Evie and Presley.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Michael (Eileen) Heraty, Mary (Tommy) Murray, John (Philomena) Heraty.

Visitation from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday August 18, 2025 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights and Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at St. Edna Catholic Church 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery.
