Kenneth P. Swanson, Sr., 95, of Arlington Heights, formerly of Park Ridge, was born on September 13, 1918 in Cicero, IL to the late Swan and Carrie (nee Pearson) Swanson and passed away peacefully on August 7, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Ken was the beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Chaves) and the late Doris Swanson and Inga Swanson; loving father of Corrie Wengren (John) and Kenneth P. Swanson, Jr. (Judith); loving brother of the late Earl Swanson and Helen Cloud; dear grandfather of Owen Pohl, Sara Pohl, Heather Kruse, Kristi Lundine (Dan) and Katie Spaldon (Tony); and great-grandfather of ten. Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 1PM – 6PM with a memorial service at 3:00 PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights.
