Kristen K. Jones

Kristen K. Jones, aged 58, passed away on October 14, 2025, in Elk Grove Village, IL, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, warmth, and unwavering dedication to the welfare of others. Born on March 21, 1967, Kristen was the cherished daughter of the Barbara and the late Bert Jones and a dear sister to Steven Jones. She was a loving aunt to many and a beloved niece, treasured by her extended family for her kind heart and nurturing spirit.

A proud alumnus of The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Kristen earned her Master of Social Work degree and devoted her life to the noble cause of helping children in foster care. Her passion for her work was evident in her tireless efforts to create new families through adoption, and she was instrumental in facilitating numerous international adoptions in Russia. Kristen's commitment to her profession was not just a career; it was a calling that she fulfilled with grace and dedication.

Kristen's interests and hobbies were a reflection of the love and teachings she received from her grandmother Tacy. She inherited her grandmother's talent for cooking, gardening, sewing, and baking, and these skills became a source of joy and comfort not only for her but also for those fortunate enough to experience her culinary and creative gifts. Kristen's hands were rarely still, as she always found ways to bring warmth and beauty into the lives of those around her.

Raised Baptist and later converting to Catholicism as a young adult, Kristen was a devout member of St. James Catholic Church. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence, inspiring her to generously volunteer her time and talents. She taught religious education with patience and wisdom, creatively served with the Art and Environment Team and brought bread and kindness to the homeless in Chicago with the “ Loaves and Fishes” ministry.

Kristen's presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Her selfless actions, her gentle guidance, and her unwavering love have left an indelible mark on the world. As we bid farewell to Kristen K. Jones, we celebrate a life that was truly well-lived—one filled with purpose, faith, and an abundance of love. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us, just as her life's work will carry on in the countless lives she touched. Though she has left this earthly realm, her spirit remains a beacon of hope and compassion for all who had the privilege to know her.

A visitation for Kristen will be held Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 434 W Park St, Arlington Heights, IL 60005. The funeral mass will begin at 11:00 AM.
