Krum Grkov

Of Arlington Heights

Krum Grkov was born on May 27, 1933 in Bulgaria to Petar and Rajna (nee Petrova) Grkov. He died Friday, October 22, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Before retiring Krum was a Superintendent for Tiffany Decorating. He was known as Dedo by all who knew and loved him. Dedo loved spending time with his family, his grandkids, his friends and traveling both in the U.S. and Europe.

He is survived by his spouse of 59 years, Katherine (nee Hatzivasilis); his daughters Rayna (Joel) Arreazola, Nicky Hassett (Greg Novak); his grandchildren Matthew Hassett, Ryan Hassett and Catherine Arreazola; his sister Liliana Calov; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his sister Nada Pejovic.

Visitation is Monday, October 25, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Sophia Bulgarian Orthodox Church, 404 West Oakton Street, Des Plaines, IL 60018. Interment will follow at Ridgewood Memorial Park in Des Plaines.
