Larry .J. Barrett

Of Arlington Heights  

Lawrence J. Barrett was born May 12, 1935 in Waukegan to Lawrence and Dora (nee Setterman) Barrett.  He passed away December 25, 2018 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.   

Larry was a 1957 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, where he lettered in cross country and track.  His hobbies and interests include coaching and officiating youth sports.  He served as president of the Palatine Amateur Football Association from 1977-1980.  

Larry is survived by his wife Mary (nee Jahnke) Barrett; his children Kelly (John) Brogan, Tom (Jennifer) Barrett, Mary Beth Barrett and Tracy (Jason Franken) Barrett; his grandchildren Mahony, Delaney and Kiernan Brogan, Caden Barrett and Nicholas and Gwendolyn Franken. 

Lawrence is preceded in death by his aunt Agnes Setterman and by his mother. 

The family held a private memorial service.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
