.Leo J. Schaefer, 96 of Mt. Prospect was born February 20, 1918 in Chicago to the late John and Johanna Schaefer and passed away January 10, 2015. Leo was the beloved husband of the late Rosemary M.; loving father of Donald (Carol) Schaefer, Kathleen (William) Faust, Patricia Trice, James (Linda) Schaefer, Suzanne (late Franz) Golbeck, Cynthia (late Gregory) Buffa, Caroline (Jack) Wootton and Rosemary (David) Mayer; cherished grandfather of 22; great-grandfather of 15 and dear brother of the late Conrad Schaefer, Raymond (Josephine) Schaefer and Genevieve Paschke. Visitation will be Friday, January 16, 2015 from 5-8PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. Prayers will be said Saturday, January 17 at 11:15 AM at the funeral home and proceed to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights for funeral mass at 12 Noon.
