She wed Richard J. Hofmeister in 1973. She died peacefully Tuesday, November 3, 2015 in Arlington Heights.Leora graduated from Mundelein College in Chicago and worked as an executive assistant for Frank B. Hall Insurance Company and Zenith. She was an active member of many groups at Holy Family Catholic Church in Inverness. She was an avid traveler and reader, and enjoyed entertaining friends and family. She also worked extensively on Genealogy.She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and EWI-Executive Women"s International.Leora is survived by her children Richard (Lynn) Hofmeister, Robert (Maggie) Hofmeister, and Ronald (Susan) Hofmeister; grandchildren, Richard Joseph Hofmeister, Stephen Hofmeister, Matthew Hofmeister, John Hofmeister, Tyler Hofmeister, Bradley Hofmeister and Kelly Hofmeister. Sister Audrey (Harold) Tellefsen, nieces, nephews, and many friends.She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Joseph Hofmeister; grandson, Robert Warren Hofmeister; and her parents.A Memorial Gathering will begin at 9:30 Tuesday, November 10, 2015, a Funeral Mass immediately following at 10:30 am Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 W. Palatine Rd, Inverness. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to American Heart Association.
