Levi B. Matsuda

Of Buffalo Grove

Levi Matsuda was born on December 11, 2001 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Christopher and Maricar (nee Bagaoisan) Matsuda. He died Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois after a tragic skateboarding accident.

Levi was going to be entering his senior year at Buffalo Grove High School.

Like many teenagers his interests and hobbies varied over the years. He played basketball, was a cross country runner and a varsity gymnast. More than anything he loved just being with his friends and making them laugh.

Levi is survived by his parents Christopher and Maricar Matsuda; his brother Tyler Matsuda and sister Mackenzie Matsuda; his grandparents Narcissa Parayaoan, Medel Bagaoisan, Donna (Kirby) Shapiro and Takayoshi (Jean) Matsuda; his uncles Michael (Luz) Bagaoisan and Benjamin (Ryoko) Matsuda; his Godmother Donna Rahn; ans his Hanai Grandparents Rudolph and Emy Magcalas.

Visitation Friday, August 2, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Prayers Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11:30am at the funeral home proceeding to St. Mary Parish, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089 for Mass at 12:30pm. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois.
