Linda’s warm spirit and dedication to others was a constant quality and evident to all who knew her. She was known for her willingness to lend a helping hand, offering comfort and assistance to anyone in need. Her loyalty and supportive nature made her a cherished companion and friend.
A graduate of Morris Business School, Linda enjoyed a successful career at Standard of America and Aetna Life and Casualty. In 1982, she found her life's true partnership when she married Dan Brown. Their union was a source of immense joy and shared adventures.
Linda held a deep love for travel, exploring the world with Dan. Their journeys took them to numerous destinations, creating a collection of cherished memories. From the sunny shores of Orlando, where they owned a timeshare, to the streets of Paris and Amsterdam, the historic landscapes of England, Austria, Scotland, and Ireland, and the lively areas of Italy, California, Boston, and Mexico, they embraced every experience. However, their most treasured adventure was a trip to Tokyo and Nagoya, Japan, where they enjoyed sightseeing excursions and a memorable bullet train ride.
Above all else, Linda’s heart belonged to her family. Her husband, Dan, and their son, Alex, were the center of her universe. She valued their time together, creating a home filled with love and laughter. They enjoyed simple pleasures: sharing home-cooked meals, watching television, celebrating with friends, dining out, and exploring the world.
Linda’s love extended to her extended family, including Charles, Linda, Danny, and David McDowell. They created lasting memories playing Trivial Pursuit, apple picking and eating taffy apples in Wisconsin at Sky High Orchard, camping in Door County, and taking long hikes in the woods. These moments, filled with laughter and love, will be forever treasured.
