

Linda Olson passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025, at the age of 89 in Schaumburg, Illinois. Born on December 30, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan, Linda's warmth and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her.
Linda's vibrant spirit led her to a life of service and adventure. In 1957, she began her career as a Tour Guide at the United Nations in New York City, where she shared her passion for global unity and culture with visitors from around the world.
In 1984, Linda's organizational talents shone brightly as she served as an administrative assistant for the World's Fair.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Linda's heart was most deeply committed to her role as a hospice volunteer. For 25 years, she provided comfort and companionship to those at the end of their life's journey, embodying the very essence of compassion.
Linda is survived by her children, Carter Beckwith Olson of Des Plaines, IL and Cary Marshall Olson of Park Ridge, IL; her grandchildren, Kenneth “Oley” (Alexandra) Yager and Carter J M (Cynthia) Yager; and brother, Frederick Marshall (Phyllis) Ball.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Conrad Olson, Jr.; and her parents.

A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at St. Simon’s Episcopal Church, 717 W Kirchhoff Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60005. Arrangements entrusted to Glueckert Funeral Home.
