Loma was known for her love for her beloved Bichon of 13 years and spending countless hours tending to her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. Loma's keen interest in art led her to create many pieces of ceramics, stain glass, drawings, paintings, and other crafts. She was particularly drawn to Asian-inspired artwork and furniture, which adorned her home and brought her great joy.
Loma loved to travel with her husband, Bob, enjoying several years snow birding in Arizona. In Arizona they met some new lifelong friends, one of which encouraged her to broaden her horizons with a cruise to Alaska following the death of Bob.
Left to cherish Loma's memory is her loving daughter, Janet DeVallauris. Their mother-daughter bond was unbreakable, sharing moments of laughter and supporting each other as they moved through life's journey. Traveling the country with their pets and exploring new places that inspired more art projects was their favorite pastime.
Funeral services and interment next to her beloved Bob, at the Fairmount Memorial Park in Spokane, Washington, will be private.
Loma also loved to read books and write letters to family and friends, as well as create art. Even the bills she mailed had drawings on the back of the return envelopes. An employee at one of those companies always mentioned the drawings and even kept some at their workspace. Unfortunately, all that became impossible as Age Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) dimmed her sight despite years of treatment. Not being able to see took the joy from her life.
Contributions in Loma's memory to help find a cure for AMD would be greatly appreciated. Donate to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation P.O. Box 515 Northampton, MA 01061-0515, https://www.macular.org/
