

Lorraine KeheOf Arlington HeightsLorraine Schroeder Kehe passed away on March 21, 2017 at the Lutheran Home of Arlington Heights." She was born in January of 1924 on the Rand Road family farm to Henry and Alvina Schroeder of Palatine.She graduated from Palatine High School in 1942, and, since jobs were scarce in town, took the train into Chicago with a friend to apply for a job wherever businesses were hiring." Lorraine made many friends while working for the U.S. Treasury Department at the Merchandise Mart, processing war bonds and other duties for nine years until marriage." She later worked for Kehe Food Distributors.A member of St. Peter Lutheran Church since 1961, she belonged to Esther Circle and was a contributing member and officer of the Fellowship Club." She was also an active participant of the "Golden Girls", a social group sponsoring regular meetings of Palatine High School graduates from earlier years." Her favorite activities included getting together with friends and family to socialize, play dominoes, and reminisce about the good old days of the Rosenwinkel family reunions held on the farms owned by her mother"s siblings.She is survived by her children and their spouses, Jean (Gerry) Bianco, John (Tammy nee Koehnen), Jeffry (Janice nee Geimer); grandchildren, Baleigh Kehe, Corbin Kehe and Everett Kehe.She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph in 1982, and daughter Jeri in 1996. The oldest of six, she is survived by her siblings, Wayne (Violet) Schroeder of Palatine, Jayne (Clarence) Hagenow of Woodstock; and many nieces and nephews who knew her as "Aunt Raine"." Her brother, Leonard, died in infancy, sister Bernice (Mrs. LaVerne) Martens passed away in 2011, and brother, Rev. Donald K. Schroeder passed away in 2014 following the death of his wife, Nancy (Brooks).Visitation Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL" 60004." Visitation 9:30 am Monday, March 27, 2017 until the 10:00 am Funeral Service at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 West Olive street, Arlington Heights, IL" 60004.
