Louis Contraveos

Of Arlington Heights

Louis Contraveos was born October 31, 1941 in Oak Park to Louis and Grace (nee Inga) Contraveos. He died March 7, 2022 at his home in Arlington Heights.

He proudly served his country in the Navy from 1961 to 1965. Louis worked for the Palatine and Melrose Park Police Departments. His love for photography spanned both his professional career with the police department, weddings, and personal family events.

Louis is survived by his wife Susan (nee Caravelli) Contraveos; his siblings Angelo (Nancy) Contraveos, Michael (Patricia) Contraveos, Rita Contraveos, Lydia Arreola, Sal (Christine) Contraveos and John (Kendelle) Contraveos; fond uncle to many nieces, nephews, cousins and a friend to many.

Louis is preceded in death by his brother Joseph (Donna) Contraveos; his sister in law Prudence Denisi; his mother and father in law Frank and Anna Caravelli and by his parents Louis and Grace.

Visitation Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights and Thursday, March 10, 2022 at St. Juliana, 7201 N. Oketo, Chicago from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass at 10:30 AM. Entombment Maryhill Cemetery.
