Louis P. Innocentini was born on February 13, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois to John and Anna (nee Scarpaci) Innocentini. He died Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Lou was an Elevator Constructor for Reliance Elevators. He was a proud member of the Elevator Constructor’s Union.
Lou was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother and friend. He taught by example and was giving with his time, knowledge, and love. He was the first anyone called when they were in need.
Lou was a passionate bird watcher and Chicago Blackhawk fan. He was no stranger to Disney World. He and his family were frequent visitors and enjoyed decades of memories there. Many of his best family pictures have Splash Mountain or Old Key West as the backdrop.
What he enjoyed most of all was spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and play. He attended as many of his grandchildren’s extra-curricular activities as possible and was a permanent fixture in the stands. He wore each of his granddaughters’ university’s apparel with pride.
Lou is survived by his spouse of 64 years, Joanne Innocentini (nee DeGrazia); his daughter Luanne (Jerry) Hartje; his son John Innocentini; his grandchildren Emily (Joe) Mattes, Laura (Chad) Behnen, Anne Innocentini, Kathryn Innocentini; his great grandchildren Brynn Behnen, Elle Mattes, Mara Mattes; his step-grandchildren Kyle (Julie) Hartje and Kara (Travis) Berth; his step-great grandchildren Ruth Hartje and Aaron Hartje; as well as his sister Alice Y. (late John "Jack" Patrick) Allen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson Kevin Olson as well as his brother Phillip Innocentini.
All services and interment will be held privately.
