He died Thursday, August 18, 2016.Luis worked for American Airlines for 17 years. He was a member of St. Beatrice Catholic Church. He was a beloved father, husband, brother, grandfather and friend. He always carried a bright smile and brought joy and love to everyone around him.Luis is survived by his spouse of 11 years, Shirley nee Castro; his children Lalaine C. (Kenny) Anderson, Joey (Elizabeth) Balauag, and Ritchie (Katie Spychala) Balauag; his grandchildren, Jordan Osmena, Brooklyn Anderson, Gabsie "Valentina" Anderson, and TonTon Balauag; his siblings, Chita Cruz, Betty Balauag, Fe Balauag, Jesus Balauag, Leenda Inez, Cynthia Lim, and Romulo Balauag.He was preceded in death by his parents.Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights, Illinois. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 pm. Wednesday."
