She was the loving daughter of Elizabeth (Bessie) and Victor Bensen and sister of Victor (Maryon) Bensen, all preceding her in death. Marbeth is survived by her five children, Steve Lange, Leslie (Jeff) Grange, Cher Mason, Sally (Paul) Miller, and Corey (Kathleen) Lange, eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. Her husband Irvin of 65 years predeceased her in 2020 as well as her grandson Pauly Miller Jr in 2019.
Marbeth grew up in Chicago in the Logan Square area and graduated from Schurz High School in 1951. She married Irvin Lange in 1955 and they moved to Arlington Heights in 1961, where she loved working in her garden and decorating her home. She had an eye and a love for recycling and repurposing everything with a keen sense for detail in all of her projects. She loved watching the birds in her yard, was a good cook, and loved all genres of music and singing, even recording a song in high school with a friend. Marbeth was a homemaker for most of her married life but worked for 18 years at Peep’s Hot Dogs in Arlington Heights.
Marbeth and Irv were active members of Faith Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights for over 50 years.
Although she will be missed, we know she was welcomed in heaven by Jesus and is joyous to be reunited with her mom and dad, her husband, her grandson, and all those family that preceded her.
