

Margaret M. Hankey, nee McCue, 94, of Des Plaines, IL was born March 30, 1916 in Lincoln, IL and passed away Friday February 11, 2011 at the Pepper Family Hospice and Home Center for Care in Barrington, IL.
Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Francis Joseph Hankey, loving mother of John Joseph (Irma) Hankey of San Antonio, TX, Thomas Charles Hankey of Atlanta, GA and Michael Francis (Susan) Hankey of Arlington Heights, IL, cherished grandmother of Kimberly (Timothy) Kalamaros, John Joseph II (Jessica) Hankey, Patrick (fiancé Sarah) Hankey, Mary Claire Hankey, and Dylan Hankey; great grandmother of Liam, Erika and Aneliese. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Katherine (nee Savage) McCue, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Mrs. Hankey taught at El Paso High School in El Paso, Illinois for over 20 years before retiring in 1982. She had been a long time resident of El Paso before moving to the Chicago area 5 years ago.
Memorial Mass will be held at a later date at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in El Paso, IL.
