She died Monday, August 17, 2015 at Northwest Community Hospital Midwest Palliative CareCenter in Arlington Heights.Eugene L. Wagner was born on September 29, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois to Anthony and Lillian (nee Sternberg) Wagner. He died Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Northwest Community Hospital Midwest Palliative CareCenter.Mrs. Wagner was an accountant at Fendall in Arlington Heights from 1980 until her retirement in 1997. She was Mrs. Illinois in 1959 and was a member of TOPS for over 30 years. Marie was an artist and enjoyed crafting. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Eugene worked for ITT/Bell Gossett as a purchasing manager from the time he was discharged from the Army in 1958 until he retired. He served two years in the Army. Gene was an avid gardener and loving caregiver of his wife whom he married June 9, 1956.They are survived by their children Sue (Jeffrey) Cichon and Steve Wagner; their grandchildren Michelle Daletski, Cynthia (Danny) Williams, Shawna Cichon, Sasha Cichon, Andrew Wagner, and Erica Wagner; great grandchildren Amelia Williams, and Maci Williams, and Aliyah Gregoles; and Marie"s brother Alfred (Benita) Heppner.They are preceded in death by their parents; Marie"s sister, Dorothy Heppner and Gene"s sisters Florence (Ray) Esch and Jeannette (Edward) Vosmik.Visitation from 4:00 until 9:00 PM, Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) , Arlington Heights, IL, 60004. And Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive St., Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
