Marion was a life-long resident of Arlington Heights and a long-time member of Saint Peter’s Lutheran Church. She and her husband Howie were involved in many church social activities including volleyball and bowling. Fridays were always date night for her and Howie. Marion worked as a baker and then head cook at Saint Peter’s school for over 20 years – her brownies and cookies were legendary! Marion was a beacon of light and warmth to everyone who knew her. She adored her kids and grandchildren, and especially her 5 great-grandchildren. She never minded the chaos and mess when they visited. Marion found joy in reading, gardening, jigsaw puzzles, and creating beautiful Afghan blankets for every family member, even the dogs. Marion will be so greatly missed.
Marion is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Judith), Randall (Barbara), and David (Terry); grandchildren, Jacob (Brenda), Jamie, Ross (Danielle), Joan (Keith) Liput, and Scott (fiancé Emily); great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Erica, Nora, Benjamin Liput and Mara Liput; and 21 nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Haseman; her parents; her siblings Donald, Leroy, and Caroline (Taege); and 12 brothers and sisters in law. She was the last of her Haseman/Jaacks generation.
