Marion B. Pierson

Marion B. Pierson was born April 10, 1917 in a rugged farming community near Fried, ND to Albert and Amelia (nee Hartshorn) Bartlett and at age 6 traveled via truck to Ottawa, Illinois where she grew up. She was called by her Lord and entered her eternal home peacefully in her own home on Sunday, July 12, 2015 where she"d lived since 1959.Marion came to Chicago after high school and earned her certificate as a Comptometer in 1935. She worked for Western Electric, where she met her adoring husband. She was the matriarch of both families. She was a faithful, elegant, gracious lady who lived nearly a century of significant historical events. Marion was a member of PEO, Eastern Star and First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights since 1960 where she sang in the choir 40 years, volunteered and was a member of couples club. She was involved in PTA and Boy Scouts. She was an avid gardener, reader, crafter. She was so incredibly grateful for her loving husband and proud of all her family. Rest in His arms as you"ve been reunited with so many who love you.Marion is survived by her daughter Gayle J. Pierson; her grandchildren Katharine N. Pierson, Abigail L. Pierson, Amy M. Bryan and Mary H. Bryan; her brother Edwin E. Bartlett, sister-in-law Joy G. Lofgren, and dozens of cousins and nieces and nephews.Marion is preceded in death by her husband Floyd G. Pierson; her son Keith B. Pierson; her grandson David and her siblings Lewis P. Bartlett and Lois Fuller and by her parents.The Celebration of her Life service is Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 10:00 AM until the service time at 12:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights, 302 N.
