Marjorie Helen Clara McLaughlin, (nee Poole), age 92, of Prospect Heights. Beloved wife of the late Fred D. McLaughlin; loving mother of the late Janet Kuhn, the late Kathie McLaughlin, Joan (late Thomas) Rembacz and Karen Stout; proud grandmother of Nicole (David) Gabbard, Jennifer, Kimberly, Kristin, Sarah and Leigh; and great grandmother of Riley with two more great grandchildren on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, Bainus and Florence Poole, her daughters, Kathie McLaughlin and Janet Kuhn and her siblings, Yvonne Goodman, Clyde, Warren and Lyle Poole.
Marjorie loved baking. Fruit cakes and Irish soda bread were two of her specialties. She enjoyed crocheting and donated many items to a hospital Giving Tree including mittens and hats. She also made pot holders and many afghans she gave away and can be found throughout her home. Marjorie loved gardening and was very proud of her zucchinis, tomatoes and peppers.
Visitation will be Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10am at Saint Alphonsus Liguori Church, 411 N. Wheeling Road, Prospect Heights, IL 60070. Funeral Mass will begin at 11am. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL.
