

Mark was born on April 1, 1959, in Chicago, IL, the son of Nils and Marian (née Gerald) Colliander.
He was kindhearted, hardworking, and deeply cherished his family and friends. Above all else, Mark was a devoted family man whose greatest joy and purpose in life was caring for the people he loved. He placed his family’s needs before his own in every way, offering unwavering support, quiet strength, and unconditional love through every season of life. His family was his proudest accomplishment, and the love he poured into them will never be forgotten.
Mark was a proud and dedicated member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, where he formed lasting friendships and lived out the organization’s values of helping others, supporting the community, and offering kindness wherever it was needed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nils Colliander.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, of 36 years, Judie (née Mozingo) Colliander; mother, Marian Colliander; children, Melanie Brown, Phillip Brown, and Tiffany (Alfonso) Uribe; thirteen grandchildren, Amira, Amani, Adam, Fonsie, Hugo, Lorenzo, Tony, Athena, Emma, Phillip Jr. “PJ”, Jaxon, Quinn, and Spencer; one great-grandchild, Luca; and siblings, Janet (Pete) Beata, Ron (Katie) Colliander, Ken (Kathy) Colliander, Mike (Dawn) Colliander, and Diane (Greg) Hay.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 11th, 2026, at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois, from 3:00 PM-8:00 PM, with the funeral service starting at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue at Glueckert Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 12th, 2026 for immediate family and friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
All loved ones are invited to join the family for a luncheon on Tuesday, May 12th, 2026 at Atlantis Banquets, 1273 N. Rand Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois, at 11:30 AM.
