Mark S. SpirekOf Buffalo GroveMark Spirek was born on September 1, 1961 in Chicago to Robert and Barbara (nee Englese) Spirek. He passed away peacefully with his wife by his side Tuesday, December 20, 2016 in Buffalo Grove.Mark was the owner/operator of Spirek Maintenance in Buffalo Grove. Mark was an avid World Champion Chicago Cubs Fan. He had a love for chocolate, especially Lori"s "Brownies". Mark enjoyed carry out from "Portillos", "Taco Bell" but also loved Chinese Cuisine. Mark had the "Best Sense of Humor" and was a "Loving Jokester". He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandson Elliott, and was loved by all. Mark is survived by his spouse of 30 years, Vicki, (nee Benson); children, Mark R. Spirek, Anthony (Fiance Sammy Acevedo) Spirek and Andrew Spirek; grandson Elliott Spirek; siblings, Robert "Bobby" Spirek and Sheila (Peter) Thulin; several nieces and nephews; and canine friends Eddie and Charlie. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 1:00 pm until the 3:00 pm Memorial Service at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
