I have known Marta and family for 35 years and can't say enough about what a special and loved person she was. Jason and Eric are proof of what a wonderful mother she was. Marta was always there to help, console and support all her many wonderful friends and family. We all will miss her so very much and feel fortunate to have been a part of her life. May you rest in peace beautiful friend.

I Eric this is Barbara from work, although we have not known each other long, I just wanted to let you know that you and your family are in my prayers. No one knows the sorry or pain that comes with losing a mother unless you been there, I don't know your struggle or pain but I will pray for your strength. Stay strong and let you tears be because she is missed not because she is gone.

Jason and Eric, your mother was such a wonderful woman who always put you first and my sympathy goes out to you both and your families. Love and hugs.

Marta and I raised our children together. We shared happy times and worry times together. We always supported each other and treasured all our times we were together. An ornament she gave me always hangs on my Christmas tree. It simply says, "Verg and Marta" "Friends Forever." Her spirit will always be with us all FOREVER.

I have known Marta since we were 7 yrs. Old. I have wonderful memories of our childhood . Many sleepovers and staying " up all nite!" We reconnected after high school when we both had children about the same age! Many outings to the gym in our outfits with matching leg warmers( of course!) and afterwards stop for a Bloody Mary and shrimp!!! Marta was a beautiful kind woman with a smiling face!! Even though I moved away many years ago we stayed in touch and no matter how long it was---- we picked up our conversation like it was yesterday. I love you and will miss you my friend! Eric & Jason,We have known Marta and your family for decades. We remember all the fun times on Oketo where she always had a smile. Last time I spoke with her to "catch-up" she couldn't stop telling me how proud she was of her boys. You were her world. She was a dedicated mom..... the best! God bless her, she is now your angel. I have so many fond memories of Marta I have been thinking about over the past couple of days. However I seem to always think of the times I used to babysit for Eric years ago lol. The house was always so pristine, neat and tidy. I would walk through my backyard on a summer evening and to her house and feel right at home. My mom and Marta remained close friends over the years and helped to teach me what true friendship is. I will miss her so.
